He was combative again during our lesson last night. After some remedial work, he finally settled out a bit. At that point, our instructor had us start going through some movements."Ah ha! This is First Level Test 1." I thought. Should I mention that? Well no one likes the "know it all" pupil. I'd been memorizing tests in my spare time, you know, in case I actually want to ride them some day.
We went through most of the test. "I tap dance with an angry rhinoceros." I thought.
"That was most of First Level Test 1. There is no reason why he can't do this." our instructor said after we finished. "These little battles mean you are getting somewhere."
Hurray?

I've heard before that it's hardest right before a break through. Love the pic with the steam coming out of the ears! Cute idea!
Do not worry, Riley. Sometimes I like to be combative, too. I think it means you are extra-smart.
ps: Thanks for the note about the Nature's Variety. Luckily, we do not have any of the recalled lots. We love the rabbit best, too! It made me smile that you remembered I call my freezer Daisy's Deli!
It all takes time and effort. I'm sure he'll stop being combative soon and start being the superstar you know he is. Love the pictures with the steam coming out of the ears, very funny.
Your love of horses really shows through here. Lots of work and mental adjustments I suspect.
